Actors, comedians and colleagues have taken to social media to commemorate Doris Roberts, the “Everybody Loves Raymond” star who died Sunday at the age of 90.
Roberts’ co-star Patricia Heaton was among the first to pay Roberts respect via Twitter, along with the “Everybody Loves Raymond” creator, Phil Rosenthal.

The sitcom’s star, Ray Romano, also issued a statement on the news on Monday: “Doris Roberts had an energy and a spirit that amazed me. She never stopped. Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a young, green comic trying to make it as an actor, she did it all with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly.”
CBS also released a statement on Roberts: “We’re deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Doris Roberts. She was a gifted and talented actress who was beloved by audiences that saw her on every screen and stage. And to those who worked with her, Doris will be remembered for lighting up every room she walked into with an unparalleled combination of energy, humor, warmth and even a little bit of grit. We were so privileged to have her call CBS home for so many years. She will be greatly missed. Truly, Everybody Loved Doris.”
