Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran, both of whom appeared on The Voice Season 21 to mentor artists, recently teamed up to record a new song called “Bam Bam.” The duo also released a music video to go along with the upbeat track.

The new song is about bouncing back after a breakup. Cabello starts the music video with smudged mascara, drinking and eating ice cream on the curb. Then she joins her friends at the club, and things continue to go wrong for her as people spill their drinks on her dress.

However, she ends up embracing it and having a good time. The video then cuts to Sheeran having his own rough time, even acquiring a black eye. But like Cabello, he ends up rolling with it and playing his guitar. The clip ends with Cabello sitting down for a yoga class.

The song includes Spanish lyrics, as Cabello and Sheeran sing, “Así es la vida,” which translates to, “That’s life.” They also sing about continuing to dance, with the Spanish lyric, “Y sigue bailando.”

Both Artists Appeared on ‘The Voice’

Cabello joined coach John Legend on The Voice last season as a Battle Advisor. Later in the same season, Sheeran appeared as the show’s Mega Mentor, helping out all four teams before the Knockouts.

Cabello herself got started on a talent show, as her former group Fifth Harmony was formed on the American version of The X Factor in 2012. The group only finished in third place, but they went on to become a sensation.

The singer performed her new song without Sheeran on The Late Late Show Thursday night. The stage was decorated in all green, with Cabello and her dancers wearing outfits to match. She even lip synced Sheeran’s part of the song in a funny moment.
